The new owners of the Aberdeen City Council 3Rs schools PPP Project, Gravis Capital Partners, retain Monteith Steen on 20 year contract to manage the PPP Project Company on their Aberdeen Schools Project.
Project Overview
The 3Rs Project was major part of the regeneration of Aberdeen City Council's school estate strategy in 2007. It saw 2 secondary schools replaced; 7 new primary schools rebuilt, and 1 refurbished. It included the incorporation of 2 special needs schools within the new developments.
The 3Rs Project was implemented through a Public Private Partnership (PPP) using a non-profit distributing organisation with support from the Scottish Government.
Monteith Steen will act as the Managing Agent for NYOP Education (Aberdeen) limited, undertaking full management responsibility for the operation of the schools, managing the budget, contractors, and implementing change initiated by the City Council. Alan Steen has additionally been appointed as Company Secretary and has been appointed to the Board of the NYOP group companies.
