Quest Consulting, the software arm of Monteith Steen have been successful in gaining a contract for the development of a software system capable of managing 500+ construction projects at any one time.
The client specifications for this multi-user system requirements included
- capability to measure: Business Case; vs Internal Budget; vs Anticipated; vs actual spend; and all measured against time
- capability to record Certifications and Payments
- capability of having multiple phases on a project nad those phases to have multiple work packages.
- capablity for each work packages to be funded form differing cost centres
- capability to manage total spend in year for each cost centre
The system is also capable of having an agent manage the data on a filtered set of projects allowing differing levels of authority. One ancillary function is the ability to electronically tag files belonging to each project and for the system to act as a document management system.
