Alan stepped into what was an extremely fragile and difficult situation for a client company during the economic crisis. The project was prospectively in default and facing termination. Had this happened, the client company faced losses running to the tens of millions (£). Alan brought stability and credibility to the situation within only a few days of being appointed. He provided a calm and "in control" dynamic to the ultimate client and was instrumental in achieving a successful rescue re-financing. Alan achieved this by adopting an honest and upfront approach and by establishing effective relationships with and the trust of key suppliers and contractors. Alan remained calm and focused throughout the process and his obvious experience of the construction and engineering sectors shone through.
